Oval-Shaped Modular Conveyors

Circulating Accumulation Systems for Food Processing and Packaging

Oval-shaped modular conveyors are circulating accumulation systems designed for use in food-processing and packaging lines where controlled buffering, organized product flow, and efficient manual handling are required. The conveyor operates horizontally along a closed oval trajectory, allowing products to accumulate safely and evenly on the belt.

Products are transferred from an infeed conveyor onto the circulating belt and move continuously along the closed path. Operators positioned at workstations adjacent to the conveyor remove products directly from the belt for further processing, inspection, or packaging. The system is engineered to withstand continuous accumulation loads and repetitive operational cycles.

Hygienic and Food-Grade Design

The conveyor is designed in accordance with hygienic design principles for food-production environments:

  • Modular belts are manufactured from food-grade plastic materials

  • Open, accessible construction for effective cleaning and inspection

  • Smooth surfaces and minimized crevices to reduce contamination risks

  • Compatibility with dry or wet cleaning regimes, depending on application

The design supports compliance with food safety requirements and integration into HACCP-based production systems.

Key Advantages
  • Efficient organization of internal product flow and accumulation

  • Reduced floor space requirements through compact oval layout

  • Optimized staffing at workstations with continuous product availability

  • Reliable operation under constant accumulation load

  • Hygienic design suitable for food-processing environments

Layout and Design Options

The conveyor configuration is determined by the following parameters:

  • Modular belt turning radius

  • Required accumulation volume and throughput

  • Number and positioning of operator workstations

  • Product characteristics (dimensions, weight, surface condition)

  • Integration with upstream and downstream equipment

Available layout options include:

  • Single- or multi-operator configurations

  • Symmetrical or asymmetrical oval geometry

  • Left- or right-hand infeed and discharge arrangements

  • Integration with inspection, packing, or labeling stations

Application Areas
  • Food packaging lines

  • Manual sorting and inspection stations

  • Buffer zones between processing and packaging

  • Accumulation before secondary packaging
