Multilayer Cutting Conveyors
Multilayer cutting conveyors are widely used in poultry farms and meat-processing facilities for transporting products such as whole chickens, halves, quarters, and individual parts to workstations for deboning and trimming operations.
To ensure continuous and efficient processing, cutting conveyors are integrated with deboning and trimming tables manufactured from stainless steel or high-molecular-weight polyethylene. During operation, deboning workstations are typically arranged along one side of the conveyor, while trimming stations are positioned along the opposite side, enabling a logical and ergonomic workflow.
Conveyor Configuration
Three-layer cutting conveyors are commonly used and consist of:
-
Lower level – removal of processed meat products into boxes
-
Middle level – delivery of raw meat to deboning and trimming workstations
-
Upper level – return of empty trays to the workstations
This configuration supports efficient material flow and minimizes manual handling.
Two-layer cutting conveyors are also applied depending on process requirements:
-
Upper belt – transport of meat parts and bones after deboning
-
Lower belt – transport of trimmed meat products
Bones are discharged at the end of the conveyor into containers for further sawing or crushing.
Belt Types and Materials

For deboning and trimming conveyors, PVC belt conveyors or plastic modular belt conveyors are used, selected according to hygiene requirements, load conditions, and cleaning regimes. All conveyor structures are designed for food-processing environments, with materials suitable for frequent sanitation.
Key Benefits
-
High level of process automation and workflow optimization
-
Increased staff productivity and ergonomic operation
-
Clear separation of product flows
-
Accurate accounting of incoming raw materials and processed products
-
Hygienic design suitable for meat-processing applications
